OSRS New Skill - Sailing: Types of Sea, Ship Sizes & Stats
Sailing is an upcoming OSRS Skill that allows you to adventure at sea. But firstly, you need to have a ship for the skill. Visit a port to start your journey. Today we want to share more details about the sea and ships.
Types of Sea
There are three types of the sea: Shallow, Open, and Deep.
Shallow sea: Most areas around the coastline will be shallows. Only small and large ships can access the shallow sea. Colossal ships are unable to sail in shallows.
Open sea: Want to explore further? So drive your ship and continue sailing. When you leave the shallows, you enter the open sea area. All ships can access the open sea.
Deep sea: Continue sailing. Warning - you have left the open sea, indicating that you have entered a dangerous area, the deep sea, where the wind, currents, and waves are the strongest. Although any ship can enter this area, if you don't want to die, please don't drive a small boat here.
Ship Sizes
There are three sizes of ships: Small, Large, and Colossal.
Small ships: Small ships are for solo sailors. They are lightweight and the best choice for starters.
Large ships: Large ships are also for solo sailors. They are bigger and a bit more complex than the small ones. They are the fastest in the open sea.
Colossal ships: Colossal ships are for a group of players. They are very complex and the best for sailing in the deep sea.
Note: 'Solo' and 'group' is not a restriction on how many players can board the ship.
Ship Stats
Here are the stats for different ships:

For players, a new skill is something to look forward to. We hope this skill is not too complex. Like most skills, there can be more content, but for operations? Just one mouse is enough. It is also a characteristic of other skills in OSRS.
